Salsa Classes

Even though we are going away for 4 months we are very excited to say that the Cuban Groove salsa classes will still continue after a small break. We will have three weeks break (from Tuesday 17th November until Thursday 3rd December) and then on her return from Cuba, Kate will run reduced classes. Classes will resume on the weeks starting Tuesday 8th of December and Tuesday 15th of December. There will be classes only on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Tuesday in Devonport, Improvers and Beginners will be from 7 pm and Intermediate will be from 8 pm.
On Wednesday in Mt Eden, Improvers and Beginners will be form 7.30 pm and Intermediate will be from 8.30 pm.
The schedule will continue in the new year starting the week of Tuesday 2nd of February until we return from Cuba and start the new timetable on Tuesday 9th of March.
There will be a few changes to the timetable for 2010 from 9th of March, please see full details here.

Afro Cuban Classes

This class covers the the basic elements & fundamentals of Afro Cuban dance, focusing on rhythm, timing, co-ordination and whole body movement. Nowhere else in Auckland is there an opportunity to go back to the roots of dance quite like this! Learn basic routines and footwork and join us on this journey of Cuban music and dance. Latin Fitness

Want to keep fit and burn calories but bored by the thought of going to a gym? Give the treadmill the flick and join us for Latin Fitness - a low-impact cardio workout with a unique Latin flavour. From the hot beats of reggaeton to the cheeky mambo, sassy Zouk and dynamic capoiera, this class will combine the rhythms of samba, cha cha cha, merengue and so much more to give you an exhilarating workout like no other.  See See class page for more info.

Salsalicious is back by popular demand!

The Cuban Groove is very excited to announce that ‘Salsalicious’ workshops will be back in 2010. Ladies, every month you will have the opportunity to experience three special workshops to boost your confidence! Get in style with Greydis, NZ’s only professional female Cuban dance teacher and unlock your own unique Salsalicious style!

First month will be
10am – 11am Reggaeton
11.30am – 12.30pm Ladies Styling
1.30pm – 2.30pm Footwork and Cuban Shines

When: The last Saturday of every month (Starting 27th March 2010)
Where: Arts Therapy (NZ) Trust. Unit 1, 19 Edwin St, Mt Eden, Auckland
Cost: $30 per workshop or $75.00 for all workshops. Bookings are essential!
Each month we may change what is covered in the workshops.
