Whether you're a Latin dance fanatic or experimenting with dance for the very first time, The Cuban Groove is a one-stop shop, offering a variety of regular classes and courses, encompassing a wide-range of Cuban and Latin dance styles.

You can join our classes at any time. No booking or partner required - just turn up on the night with a smile and we'll take care of the rest!

Prices

Concession Card $75 per 5 classes & get 1 FREE

Concession Card Conditions
~ Valid for 6 consecutive weeks.
~ Non transferable.
~ Not refundable once class commences.
~ This card is valid for 6 consecutive weeks. It is not transferable. It may be used at any Cuban Groove Casual Class suitable to your level.

CASUAL CLASSES

All casual classes are $15 per class or $25 for two classes on the same night
Students - $12 per class (with valid student ID only!)

SOCIAL DANCING

$5 entry or free if you attend the class!

Class Descriptions

All levels include a taste of another Popular, Afro-Cuban or Latin dance so you learn how to mix all these different rhythms - the essence of Cuban Salsa!

Beginners Salsa

For absolute beginners or those transferring from other beginner classes. This class covers the basic elements & fundamentals of Cuban Salsa, focusing on rhythm, timing and co-ordination, beginning of partnership, basic routines and footwork.

Improvers Salsa

For those who have mastered the basic elements and fundamentals of Cuban Salsa. This class/course builds on and adds to the basic elements learnt in Beginners classes, with concentration on building confidence and how to better lead & follow, introducing more turn patterns, routines & footwork.

Intermediate Salsa

In this class we explore more complex material for those who are confident with all the fundamentals of Cuban Salsa and who are ready for more complex turn patterns. We continue working on developing a good technique and style. This means teaching you the tools necessary to improvise, as well as to lead and follow at a higher level. Learn new dynamic classic Cuban movements and challenging footwork variations.

Rueda de Casino

The Rueda (meaning wheel) originated in Cuba and is a really popular way to dance the famous Cuban Salsa known as Casino! Couples dance in a circle, with one leader calling a move, which all dancers execute. Most moves finish by changing partners in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction.

Rueda Intermediate

In this class we cover the fundamentals of "Rueda de Casino" It's for Intermediate Salsa Dancers confidents with Cuban Style. It is essential that you have done Rueda before attempting this class. Learn New Hot Cuban moves, footwork and new routines. Have fun and enjoy a really exciting dance style!

Rueda Advanced

This class is for the more advanced. It is essential that you have done Rueda Intermediate before attempting this class. It's a really fluid & dynamic class where you will be continually evolving, developing & creating new moves. It's physically challenging and will extend all your senses. You'll be encouraged to move out of your comfort zone and funk up our turns and spins! Learn new dynamic classic Cuban movements, challenging routines and footwork to incorporate with your own style!
